Our Story & Mission
Under the Willow Tree Rescue Inc. is a Western Australia-based non-profit, non-kill rescue organisation founded in 2023. Since then our rescue continues to grow.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and other exotic animals who have been surrendered, dumped, lost or neglected. With a dedicated team of volunteers, foster carers and a growing community, we strive to help as many small companion animals as possible.
The name “Under the Willow Tree” is dedicated to Willow, a male rabbit born in rescue when both his parents were saved after being dumped in the sand dunes of Alkimos Beach on Easter Sunday 2023. Their rescue was the beginning of our journey.

What We Do & How We Do It
Under the Willow Tree Rescue Inc. provides an adoption service, as well as support for foster carers, assistance to the community as well as education and care for animals in need. We can’t save the lives we have without our wonderful community of coordinators, supporters, foster carers, and adoptive families who have helped us grow! Under the Willow Tree Rescue Inc. is self funded, so relies on any and all support to keep our mission going! No matter what capacity or stage in your journey in life, we appreciate any and all help so we can save as many lives as we can.
