Forever Fosters
What is a Forever Foster?
On top of providing care and searching for homes for all rescued animals, our rescue provides continued care for those who struggle to find homes, carrying physical or medical ailments and behavioural traumas.
Those who have otherwise been labelled “unadoptable” risk simply being euthanised; we are there to help them and keep them safe. Our Forever Foster Program provides veterinary care, safety and a home for those animals forever.

How Can You Help a Forever Foster?
By donating or fostering a Forever Foster, you help them with their medical and behavioural needs.

Any donations of $2 or more are tax deductible, so please reach out to us via our email, social media, or our contact page if you would like a receipt for your donation.
Meet Our Forever Fosters!
Meet the animals we do this for and hear their stories!
Every Forever Foster requires regular veterinary attention, medications, health checks, yearly vaccinations, desexing and supplies and we can't do it for them without support!
We're always looking for support and sponsorships for them to keep them going.

Ahsoka was rescued, along with her partner Rex, in the sand dunes of Alkimos Beach on Easter Sunday in 2023. Shortly after arriving into rescue she gave birth to Willow, the muse and inspiration or our rescue!
Even though she doesn’t enjoy the company of humans, she has a lot of love with her “husbun” Rex (Willow’s dad).
Ahsoka has a sweet, shy but also playful personality, and lives in a room with Rex, with Willow and his partner Misty living in a pen next door to them.
Ahsoka suffers EC neurological issues, which bring on paralysis and balance issues. Ahsoka requires regularly medication to keep her EC symptoms under control, as well as regular health checks to keep her stable.
She will need this support for the rest of her life as sadly there is no cure.

Rex was rescued, along with his partner Ahsoka, in the sand dunes of Alkimos Beach on Easter Sunday in 2023. Shortly after arriving into rescue, Ahsoka gave birth to Willow, the muse and inspiration of our rescue!
Rex is a total attention hog, and enjoyed his free time whilst Ahsoka and their carer worked hard raising Willow.
Rex loves anything to do with food and head pats. Whilst he does have boundaries and can be shy at first, Rex has a lot of confident behind such a handsome face.
Along with Ahsoka, Rex lives in a room next door to his son Willow and Willow’s partner Misty. Their room is known as the family room.
Rex suffers liver issues, and requires regular checks of his liver including ultrasounds and blood tests to ensure he’s healthy, along with medication management.
Rex will need this continued support for the rest of his life, he’s incredibly grateful for the time he gets to spend with his family.

Scanner is currently our longest term bun in our rescue. Having been dumped in Mandurah after being used for breeding, he then ended up in the pound for nearly 4 weeks.
When we could finally get to Scanner, he was stressed beyond compare, broken by what humans had done to him so far.
With what Scanner has endured, some of it we know and other parts we are still trying to make sense.
Scanner unfortunately suffers behavioural issues due to his past traumas with people, making him “unadoptable”.
Scanner may bite or attack without much warning, due to a need to defend his space and what is his.
This beautiful boy has an incredible heart behind all that pain. He lives with his bonded partner, Rose, who ensures he feels safe and calm, and most importantly understood.
Scanner is EC positive, and does require regular medications and healthy checks as well as his yearly vaccination.
Though Scanner may never be adopted, we’ve ensured that he can live as peacefully as possible. We won’t ever give up on him.

Wilma came into rescue displaying numerous health concerns, including loss of voice, nasal and eye discharge, weight loss, and also severe joint pain.
It’s suspected that Wilma is in the very early stages of Lymphoma.
We’re monitoring her condition closely, providing her with medications and also weekly joint support injections, and if we can keep her stable we may be able to give her a lot of love whilst we can!
Wilma loves other guinea pigs and humans, is a sucker for her veggies and pellets and enjoying the time she has left in comfort around her friends.

Stevie, used for breeding then surrendered like he was just a used part. He came into our rescue covered in damaged fur, unable to see due to his eye sight, and displaying behavioural issues due to how he had been treated previously.
He initially formed a strong bond with a truly wonderful bun named River, who sadly passed away in early 2024.
Feeling the loss and grief from her passing, Stevie was desperate for a friend.
Salem who had just been rescued at the time, showed lots of suitability towards Stevie.
After only a day together side by side, Stevie found a way to hop over his pen and be with Salem.
Since then, they’ve been inseparable, and keep each other close, warm and loved no matter what!
Salem suffers from EC as well, and has a head tilt that requires regular management.
Both buns required regular medications to manage their EC as well as consistent health checks and their yearly vaccinations.

Even though he was so young, Razor was suffering a lot of pain in his Kidneys due to EC. Thing was completely misunderstood by his family, who kept overwhelming him, causing him to react and bite.
Our rescue tried to get them into care as well as we could, beginning testing for Razor and weight management.
Shredder has remained by Razor’s side to ensure he is feeling safe and comfortable.
Razor requires regular check up appointments, medication to stabilise his EC and both their year vaccinations, as well as consistent weight management.
We take our hats of to their carer and the team who are constantly ensuring he they get everything these boys need.

Gale came into our rescue after she was dumped with a litter of 7 babies, all thrown into a cramped hutch where they were fighting for room until we could get them to safety.
Upon arriving, we noticed Gale had an opal blue eye, with swelling causing double the amount of pressure, to which we began testing and treating.
But we hit a curveball. Shortly after arriving, Gale gave birth to a further 12 babies!
Struggling through the pressure of her eye, Gale prioritised raising her babies as best she could, ensuring that 8 made it through safely, whilst we tried to keep her comfortable.
Gale’s 15 babies include:
Isla, Zara, Bee, Ruby, Bella, Zach, Eli, Bobby, Celine, Rumi, Zoey, Mira, Ejay, Saja, and Jinu!
Once Gale was ready, she was separated from her babies and we were able to successfully remove her eye and relieve that pressure that was there for so long!
Gale was also treated for a very serious cause of ear mite build up, which caused a foul odour and lots of irritations.
Throughout, Gale has been incredibly gentle, patient and positive with all those around her. She’s truly a wonderful bun! A real fighter!
Gale is a goofball with a very loving, calming and healing energy about her.
Gale requires regular health check, medications, and her yearly vaccination to keep her going!

Our rescue had intercepted a group of guinea pigs heading to a petting farm, where they would be poked and squeezed and scared for the rest of their lives. This isn’t a suitable environment for any rabbit or guinea pig.
Stressed, and unsure what their future was 2 were pregnant, Calico and Possum, but everyone all healthy and okay and finally safe.
Shortly after arriving, Calico had an awfully difficult birth of her babies. Giving birth to 4 still borns, and 1 very small boy who was just barely clinging on to life. 24 hours later, we also lost Calico as well.
This sweet and small boy was completely alone except for one truly beautiful person who was right there beside him every moment. His wonderful carer had been supporting him through.
All whilst working full time, raising her children, preparing for the busiest period of the year, and also helping run our rescue, she didn’t give up at all!
As he got strong enough, Maliko was accepted by Possum and her wonderful daughters, and was able to experience what he had lost when he was born.
After so much love and care, and defying so many odds, this small and sweet boy that was so close to death at such a young age has grown into a cheeky, hungry, loud, self assured, confident, and lovely guinea pig named Maliko!
We’re not only proud of Maliko, but the wonderful woman who made sure to fight for him every day, and continues to fight for every animal needing help!
Over Christmas 2025 Maliko joined our Forever Fosters, and has been given the opportunity to be supported by our rescue and our community forever.
Due to his difficulties early on in life, he will be continuously checked by our partnering vets to ensure he gets the best support for any of his needs.
