Desexing Rabbits is incredibly important, not only are rescues facing an overwhelming amount of Rabbits needing homes, but there are so many health and behavioural benefits to desexing.
Desexing can be done after 4-6 months of age for males and 6 months of age for females, providing they are over 1kg of weight. Without desexing, Females can be at risk of uterine cancers with can be fatal. Desexing reduces risks of cancers, reduces territorial spraying, reduce hormonal aggression, improve litter training and prevent pregnancy.
Under the Willow Tree Rescue Inc. provides desexing for every Rabbit in our rescue. Please consult our rescue, or a Rabbit savvy veterinary clinic for advice to desex your Rabbit.
